School class hike “In the footsteps of Caspar David Friedrich”

Caspar David Friedrich was not only a well-known painter of Romanticism. Above all, he was a true lover of nature and mostly explored the island of Rügen on foot. Along the chalk coast of Jasmund, he created the sketches for his world-famous painting “Chalk Cliffs on Rügen.” Let yourselves also be captivated by this unique natural beauty. Along the way, the guide will tell you about the life of Caspar David Friedrich, and together we will discover the original locations of his work around the Königsstuhl. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to explore the indoor adventure exhibition with an audioguide and learn more about the diverse habitats in Jasmund National Park.
